Day 1

on 04 February, 2010

Translation -

"Even the hair of those in other lands
Fights for a dignified right to freedom.
Though with brains, why not realize it?
Are your eyes blinded by thunder?"

In the poem S. Mahinda thero has tried to urge patriosim of Sri Lankans by asking two questions and saying what others would do. the first two lines says that how people from other countries act when they are in a freedom fight. The metaphors which are used in the lines drive someone to feel shame about himself if he is a man who shows his back to such a fight.

In the third line he asks why dont you realize this when you have a brain to think, and on the last line he again asks whether you are blind.
