Translation -

"Freedom is a great ocean
And you are its origin.
Thinking that, in this birth,
Do your bit, it’s your duty."

The poem reminds the people that though freedom is like an ocean, each and every man in the world have work to do for the survival of freedom.

Being a buddhist monk the poet address all the people as sons, and unrge them to do whatever they have to do for the freedom.
