Sikkim Mahinda Thero also known as Tibet S. Mahinda Thero was a poet and author who did a significant piece of work with his literary skills to motivate Sri Lankans at the freedom movement.
Not being a native Sri Lankan, after he arrived Sri Lanka he learned Sinhalese language and became a poet. He produced a lot of literary work inspiring patriotism among Sri Lankans, urging them to fight for their freedom.
Today 4th February 2010 Sri Lanka is celebrating her 62nd Independence Day, yet today is the most special one for Sri Lankans, as this is the first Independence Day which the Sri Lankans are celebrating after 30 years of war against the LTTE.
This website is a tribute for the people who did various types of sacrifices during the war, and a gift for the Sri Lankans reminding some of the work by S. Mahinda Thero.
